2014 Arizona Competition Winner
Roxana Wolfson is a senior at Xavier College Preparatory. She has a passion for STEM, in particular, physics and engineering. As a three year member of her engineering club (EPICS), she has had the opportunity to participate in many community outreach projects. This year, Roxana is president of EPICS and her project is to program and donate 20 computers for economically deprived girls at Papago Middle School. She is also a co-founder of Girls Have IT Camp and co-chair of Girls Have IT Day. Both the camp and day focus on exciting, empowering, and encouraging middle school girls to pursue science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on activities. In college, Roxana plans to continue her studies in engineering, physics, and math.
